Board of Directors

Lanny Rutkin – Founder Chairman CEO

Lanny acts as entrepreneurial leader, chief visionary and fundraiser for Click Deal Buy! He has over 32 years’ experience in sales and marketing, with emphasis on the application of new technologies. For example, he was instrumental in bringing to market the Mac DisplayLink, the first ever Mac-to-TV D/A converter.

Click Deal Buy! Inc. is the brainchild of Lanny’s growing perception that the expanding and revolutionary business of e-retail commerce is in serious need of a radical new and systematic application of IT to the process of retail sales. Lanny envisions an approach which allows the e-retailer to focus on and profit from the customer’s larger expectations while involved in the shopping process. He believes that bringing this approach to life in the form of products greatly attractive to e-retailers in this highly competitive environment will lead to great technological and commercial success.

Lanny makes a specialty of “out-of-the-box” thinking to envision potential niche markets and trends.   His strengths are in business development, strategic planning and operations management.

At Photo and Sound Company in 1984, he managed over 300 Education, Business and Government accounts in Northern California – Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chevron, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan to name a few – during the initial emergence of PCs as essential business tools. Lanny rapidly advanced through increasingly responsible Senior Sales/Account Executive roles at companies including GE Capital IT Solutions, NetTV, Troxell Communications and CompView.  He consistently achieved and surpassed aggressive sales quotas and was recognized as a President’s Club member multiple times.  Lanny prides himself in his mastery of the “art and science” of sales as evidenced in his success in revitalizing under-performing territories, generating new accounts and cultivating C-level relationships within Fortune 500 companies.

Lanny’s professional experience has given him “hands on” knowledge of ecommerce in diverse business landscapes – start-up, market downturn, turnaround and accelerated growth.  He founded three companies: Display Tech Multimedia Inc. (created some of the first-ever PC/Mac to TV scan converters), R3D Entertainment Inc. (emerging 3D stereoscopic (3DS) industry), and most recently, Click Deal Buy! Inc.

Lanny was born in 1954 and has a 1980 BA from Sonoma State University
